I have been having issues with my emission sensor and also with periodic violent front-end vibration (that also included my front tires beginning to wear unevenly) since the middle of February. I took my truck in to be serviced on 02/27/18 and asked them to investigate these issues. I have been having my truck serviced regularly at this dealership since my purchase due to the fact that they are the closest Chevrolet dealership to my home. I have told them since the development of these issues that I felt as though my emission sensor was triggered by the front-end vibration in most cases and wanted to get to the bottom of the vibration. On multiple occasions, I have been told it was simply that my tires were showing wear. I asked if they could rotate them, and was told that rotation would not help my issue, and that I just needed to purchase new tires. I told them that I believed that more was going on than just a simple tire wear issue and that I thought something else was wrong with my front-end and I wanted to get to the bottom of it. After feeling as though my concerns were not addressed at the dealership, I went home and researched my tires online and discovered that my particular tires have a 60,000 mile limited warranty (At the beginning of this issue, my truck didn't even have 25,000 miles). So, I went back to the dealership and was once again told that my tires were simply wearing poorly.. nothing else they could do but replace the tires. After leaving my truck at the dealership since Friday to have my emission sensor reparied.. Again.. and to have my front-end looked at.. Again.. my daughter retrieved it for me Monday night once the repairs were done..Tuesday morning on my way to work.. once.. Again.. the emission sensor was triggered when the front end vibrated violently. At this point, I was a little more than frustrated and decided to take my truck to the local Co-op to get a second opinion on my tire wear ( I currently don't even have 28,000 miles on the truck). Immediately upon seeing my wear pattern, I was told it is obvious that my front end is out of alignment.. hence the bad wear on my tires. This infuriated me, and I returned to the dealership to ask if they had ever checked my alignment when I was complaining of my concerns with my trucks front-end. It was at this moment I was informed that they do not have the capability to check or do front-end alignments on duallys... Unbelievable.. this is the first time I have been told this. The man I spoke with today was nice and informative, but he has only been at the dealership for about 2 weeks. I am furious that no other employee or service technician in my previous visits had ever bothered to tell me this at all. Had I been privy to this information, I would have taken my truck elsewhere months ago.. So, at this moment I am not happy with my service or this dealership, but I do have hopes that things will get better in the service department with the addition of this new associate who addressed my concerns more than anyone else has in the couple years I have been servicing this particular truck at this location.
